Disclaimer

We believe every dog deserves a loving home, that’s why we’ve been supporting rescue centres through the Pedigree Adoption Drive (PAD) over the last five years. We know that the right nutrition has a critical role to play in a rescue dog’s journey to a brighter future. That’s why this year we’re going to continue this support with PAD taking on a new focus in 2013 and becoming the ‘Feeding Brighter Futures’ campaign. At the centre of this campaign is our goal to feed one million meals (our mission) to rescue dogs in Britain, to help them on their way to finding their forever home.

Pedigree, through Feeding Brighter Futures, will provide dog homes with a one year feeding programme, to feed all dogs in their care. The aim is to feed all full members of the ADCH (Association of Dogs and Cats Homes) who want to be part of the programme across a three year timeframe on a rotational basis (as of the 2013 membership register taken in January 2013).

We have already donated 124,925 meals so far this year from 10th February to 4th May and we will continue to donate an average of 10,410 meals per week this year.

In 2013 we are donating the meals to the following ADCH rehoming centres:

  • Battersea Dogs and Cats Home
  • Birmingham Dogs Home
  • Edinburgh Dogs & Cats Home
  • North Clwyd Animal Rescue
  • Leicester Animal Aid
  • HULA Animal Rescue
  • Mayflower Animal Sanctuary
  • The Mayhew Animal House
  • Halfway Home Dog Rescue
  • Rain Rescue

The ADCH is a charitable association that promotes best practice in animal welfare for rescue dogs and rescue cats. Membership incorporates registered charities and not for profit organisations of all sizes, and the ADCH’s priority is to ensure that rescue dogs and cats get the best possible chance of a new loving and caring home. All members of the ADCH adhere to a code of practice. More information on this code of practice can be found here: http://www.adch.org.uk/downloads/ADCH-Code-of-Practice-2013.pdf
